Have You Discovered Your Call to Entrepreneurship?

Have you discovered your call to entrepreneurship? Do you remember the age you were when God began to reveal to you bits and pieces of your God-given talent? I recall being around 9-years-old. What differentiated me from my peers was my love for reading and my passion to write.

As time moved on, I grew older and my talent began to evolve. In 2015 God revealed His purpose and plan for my life, which ultimately helped me discover my call to entrepreneurship.

My Call to Entrepreneurship

You see, I made my request earlier that year and about a week later, I went on a 21- day fast. I called it the 21-day John fast. Each day I’d read a chapter from the Book of John. When it was mealtime, I would eliminate my favorite foods from my dishes. No later than two weeks after I began the fast, God answered my prayers and revealed to me my purpose and His plan as a seer and leader.

Since then, I’ve been pressing towards the mark of what God has called me to do, but let me tell you, it has not been easy.

When I first began my journey, instead of taking refuge in the LORD I began to put my trust in people (Ps. 118:8)

I would ask my friends for their thoughts and wait for their response. I refused to move forward until I heard a word from one of them. Even though I knew what to do from the jump, I let fear take heed in what God had already told me to do. And I forgot that God was my ultimate source. He would always encourage me to be strong and courageous, for He would never leave me nor forsake me (Deut. 31:6)

This journey has been a working process, but day-by-day God is allowing me to get stronger. One way He shares provision to me is through phrases and words.

A phrase I’ve been reminded of comes from my friend Julian, who simply says to just do it

The sooner you get started, the closer you will come to change your circumstances. Everybody has a gift and there are people who are waiting for you to release your gift.
